The MFA Writing Program at Greensboro,The Greensboro Review, and The UNCG Center for Creative Writing in the Arts will host a reading byTom Kealey on Thursday, October 10th, at 7:00 PM in the UNCG Faculty Center on College Avenue. The reading will celebrate the release of Kealey's debut story collection, Thieves I've Known. The reading is free and open to the public and will be followed by a book signing.

Tom Kealey is the author of the short story collection, Thieves I've Known, winner of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, and The Creative Writing MFA Handbook. His stories have appeared in Best American Nonrequired Reading, Glimmer Train, Story Quarterly, Prairie Schooner, and the San Francisco Chronicle. His nonfiction has appeared in Poets and Writers and The Writer.

Kealey received his MFA in creative writing from the University of Amherst, where he received the Distinguished Teaching Award. He has taught creative writing at Stanford University since 2003.
